Congressman John Yarmuth, Chairman
Chairman John Yarmuth represents Kentucky's 3rd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Now in his eighth term, he was reelected Chairman of the House Budget Committee for the 117th Congress. He has served on the Committee for more than a decade, and has previously served as Ranking Member during the 115th Congress and Vice Ranking Member during the 114th Congress.
Chairman Yarmuth has been recognized for his work to reassert Congress’ constitutional power of the purse, improve education, expand access to affordable health care, and revitalize manufacturing in Louisville.
Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Chairman Yarmuth graduated from Atherton High School and Yale University. He and his wife, Cathy, have one son, Aaron, who is owner and editor of LEO Weekly.
