Biden’s Budget Bust
WASHINGTON – House Budget Committee Chairman Jodey Arrington (R-TX), issued the following statement after, for the third year in a row, President Biden has failed to meet the statutory deadline to produce his budget.
“President Biden’s failure to submit his budget to Congress by the deadline for the third year in a row, along with my democrat colleagues’ inability to even pass a budget out of committee for the last two years, reinforces a resounding message that fiscal discipline is not their priority.
“After spending over $10 trillion of the American people’s hard-earned money and igniting an inflation firestorm, Biden has the country teetering on a recession and dangerously closer to a debt crisis.
“This is insulting to taxpayers and infuriating to American families who are saddled with grocery and gas bills they cannot afford, crippling interest rates, and concerns about the trillions of dollars in debt that will be heaped onto their children.
“This is the same President who has demanded a new credit card with unlimited credit in the form lifting the debt ceiling without any fiscal guardrails.
“House Republicans are committed to restoring fiscal sanity in Washington by stopping this unbridled spending and passing responsible budgets like the rest of America does.”
