Chairman Black Statement on Passage of Budget in the Senate

Washington, D.C. – House Budget Committee Chairman Diane Black issued the following statement after the Senate approved an amended version of its budget for fiscal year 2018, which is expected to come to the House floor for a vote.

“I applaud the Senate for advancing its budget this week. The budget process is not easy, but I am pleased that the final version included some changes that reflect many ideas offered in our plan and also has the support of President Trump. In the House, I look forward to swift passage and to working with the president on tax reform, to provide relief to all Americans.”
