Arrington Celebrates House Passage of America First Budget Resolution

"One small step for our Republican Conference, one big leap for the American people." -Chair Arrington

WASHINGTON, D.C. –Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed by a vote of 217 AYES – 215 NAYS the Concurrent Resolution on the Budget for Fiscal Year 2025, which was endorsed by President Trump because it implements his full America First agenda.

Chairman Jodey Arrington (R-Texas) released the following statement:

“One small step for our Republican Conference, one big leap for the American people. By passing the resolution on the House floor tonight, Republicans have taken a crucial step in fulfilling the mandate assigned by the American people when they reelected President Trump and delivered a Republican majority in Congress. This budget resolution provides the fiscal framework for what will be one of the most consequential pieces of legislation in modern history and the principal legislative vehicle for President Trump’s America First agenda. House Republicans are doing their job to cut taxes for hardworking families and small businesses, support our law enforcement at the border, bolster our military, unleash American energy dominance, and right-size our wasteful, oversized bureaucracy.

“President Trump asked for a comprehensive bill to implement the FULL America First agenda, and that's exactly what Republicans in the House of Representatives have delivered. I urge my Senate colleagues to immediately adopt our budget blueprint so Congress can get to work on the reconciliation process that will usher in the Golden Age of America.”
