The Cost Of... the Fourth of July focuses on how President Biden’s failed policies have led to the increased costs of food and goods that Americans are purchasing to celebrate Independence Day.
Presenting the Problem:
This weekend, Americans across the country will gather to celebrate the founding of our great nation. But there will be cloud over the festivities, as they will be doling out more of their hard earned money to buy the hotdogs, hamburgers, sweet treats, etc. necessary for a good party. Since President Biden took office, overall prices have increased by 19.3 percent.
This means that the average family of four is paying over $17,000 more per year, or over $1,400 per month, to purchase the same goods and services compared to when President Biden was sworn in.
- Food prices have increased by 21 percent.
- Energy prices have increased by 36 percent.
- Housing prices have increased by 21 percent.
- Real earnings are down 3.9 percent.
- Airline fares are up 22 percent.
