Chair Arrington and House Budget Republicans Secure Win for Americans, Deliver on President Trump’s Agenda

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the House Budget Committee passed the Concurrent Resolution on the Budget for Fiscal Year 2025, a critical first step to unlock the process for House Republicans to deliver on President Trump’s transformative America First agenda. The resolution was advanced by the Committee by a vote of 21 ayes – 16 nays.

Upon passage of the resolution, Chairman Jodey Arrington (R-Texas) issued the following prepared remarks:

“The resolution passed out of Committee today is a blueprint to right-size the bloated federal bureaucracy, rein-in the reckless spending that spurred record inflation, and roll back the barrage of burdensome regulations that are crushing our small businesses.

“It’s time to meet this generational moment and join President Trump in making the tough decisions that preserve our republic for our children and grandchildren. This is our last, best shot to do it. This is the only comprehensive deal Congress has on the table to get the job done. Let’s get to work!”
