Chairman Arrington Echoes President Trump's Call to Balance the Budget

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, House Budget Committee Chair Jodey Arrington (R-Texas) issued the following statement in response to President Donald J. Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress, in which the President urged congressional leaders to unlock the reconciliation process:
“The president has wasted no time in reversing course on the self-inflicted disasters of the Biden administration by advancing America First policies that will strengthen our economy, restore our security, and renew the American Dream for generations to come.
“House Republicans have done their part by passing the FY25 Budget Resolution that advances President Trump’s full economic and security agenda, while putting our nation on a path to balance.
“The House Budget resolution is more than numbers on a ledger, it’s a promissory note to the American people and our children to preserve the American Dream against an unwieldy government.
“I urge my Senate colleagues to move with the urgency that this historic moment requires by quickly passing the House Budget Resolution and unlocking President Trump’s America First agenda.”
